Ignition

Ignition

A group of wolves is called a pack.
A group of elephants is called a herd.
And what do you call a group of car guys? You call the cops.

Cars, to most of the world’s population, they’re just machines used for the convenience of getting around, tools and nothing more. To the select few though, they are much more. An expression of one’s self, a way of life, a means of relief and the reasons can go on. Car enthusiasts we call ourselves. I’d also list what non-enthusiasts call us but I’m afraid children may one day read this.

Ignition

The most astonishing thing about cars, is how no matter your race, skills, job or other hobbies, they bring us together from far and wide. When we car enthusiasts decide to meet in one area, you can see people from all walks of life gather to do no more than talk. Hours spent talking about what the next change on a ride is going to be, racing events, wheels, new cars, old cars, motorbikes and the list could go on and on for eternity.

Ignition

We came in our numbers to a scene bursting with fuel, noise and soon thereafter, tires. All manner of enthusiasts meeting on mutual ground, brought together by nothing but our love for the automotive masterpieces. These machines are our ways of life, and that grand night we saw a spark in the realm of the motorist. A spark that we hope will lead to the full-blown Ignition of car culture on our island.

That was terrible…

We at Lucian Streets thank you, Saint Lucian motorists, for showing us as well as each other that what we love has not died off, and we assure you this is only the beginning. We’ll be seeing you all at the next Ignition Car Meet.
